The story of Dove ya …
I didn’t grow up thinking I was an artist. Like a lot of people, I never really had the chance to explore art in a meaningful way—especially in school, where creativity often takes a back seat. It wasn’t until college, when I signed up for an art class out of curiosity, that I discovered not only a talent I didn’t know I had, but a real passion for creative expression.
That experience changed the way I saw the world around me, and it made me wonder how many other people have never had the opportunity to discover what art could mean to them, or how it can effect their daily life’s. That’s the heart of Dove Ya Art—to give the general public that chance to connect.
Inspired by the concept of traditional paint-and-sip classes, I wanted to build something more inclusive, more creative, and a lot more diverse. I loved the idea of making art fun and accessible for non-artists, but I didn’t love the limitations: just painting, just one style, and often tied to drinking. I knew there could be more.
At Dove Ya Art, we offer something different. A space where anyone—regardless of experience—can come explore a variety of mediums, choose their own style, and create without pressure. The goal isn’t a perfect result; it’s about the joy of the process, the freedom to try something new, and the pride of saying, “I made that.”
Creating that kind of experience for others feels personal, and honestly, really special. I hope you’ll join me in rediscovering what creation can feel like—because it might just surprise you.
With two degrees in Visual Arts and Studio Arts from Citrus College, I bring both formal training and real-world creativity to every session. I’ve been creating art since 2021, and while I’m still growing as an artist, my passion lies in sharing what I’ve learned with others in a way that’s fun, easy to follow, and completely judgment-free.
My background in teaching goes back to 2018, starting as a gymnastics coach for children as young as 18 months. I later worked with the City of Diamond Bar’s Recreation Department, supporting programs like summer camps and Kinder Skills for early learners. These experiences taught me how to connect, encourage, and create safe spaces for learning—all of which I bring into my sessions today.
This business may be fully mobile right now, but it’s only the beginning. In the next few years, I plan to open a permanent studio space—a place filled with even more mediums, more events, and more ways for people to discover what they’re capable of. My goal is bigger than a single business or city; I want to help people across the country fill their homes with artwork they created themselves—pieces they’re proud of, pieces that remind them what they can do, and bring back joyful memories. And I don’t plan on stopping until that vision becomes a reality.
